Every month SOCO wants to highlight our past non-profit partners. We are thankful for the organizations that are helping make our world a better place. This month’s non-profit highlight is Young Life Developing Global Leaders.
The Developing Global Leaders program is designed for a transformation in the lives of students in developing countries. 100 students each year are chosen for their, “leadership potential, academic excellence, involvement in Young Life, spiritual maturity, and financial need.”
These students are then given the gift of a free university education, a mentor to train the leaders in life skills, and more. The program helps kick start leadership in students who have had the potential, just not the circumstance.
Young Life’s DGL believes, “Whether through continued involvement with Young Life or as people of faith and character in education, government or business, these global leaders will have a transforming impact in places desperate for change.”
At SOCO we are thankful for organizations like Young Life and Developing Global Leaders, who are using their resources to cultivate leaders in places longing for a positive difference. We are thankful to have a product that helped DGL, and for the customers willing to use their purchasing power for significant change in the lives of future leaders around the world.
Thank you Young Life Developing Global Leaders, you are our heroes!
